Parents send their kid(s) to Game Night Space to learn:
-
social skills,
-
how to work collaboratively in groups with others, and
-
how to develop self-esteem while interacting with others
The teens and adults who come to our game night(s) join us every week because it’s super fun.
Therapy alone is not enough to learn social skills. Kids, teens, and adults need an accepting environment that supports them where they currently are with their current skill set.
It's this accommodating environment which helps people be more open to try new things and experience success. This success can then lead to increased motivation to do better and to try more. Our clients report increased interest in being social in other domains beyond Game Night Space. Therapists have reported to us that their patients have a dramatic increase in social skills and interest in being social after they have participated in one or more of our Game Nights.
Parents! You too are welcome to come and observe game night in action (we have an unobtrusive spot where you can sit and watch).
Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
